About DJ Zawitaj
Hi, thanks for stoppin' in! I'm a part-time freelance artist from Illinois. With no formal art schooling, I used many books to teach myself and attended life drawing sessions to hone my realistic techniques.
In the early 80's a friend at Marvel Comics helped me get experience with their multi-hands artists as an inker. Today I illustrate CD covers for Ren Faire musicians, graphics for local businesses, and story illustrations for fanclub magazines and newsletters.
Services & Commissions
Have a project in mind? Get in touch — I'd love to hear from you.
Events & Con Reports
I regularly attend furry conventions across the midwest. Catch me at the Midwest Furfest, or read about my past convention adventures.
Comics
Check out The Art Blok, my online monthly comic strip, and meet the cast in the character designs.
The Tales of the Tai-Pan is the anthro shared-universe project I contribute to — learn more at the Tai-Pan Project.
Off the Clock
Not everything here is fur art. There's a modest watch collection on the studio desk — a couple of replica watches for trying out references before committing real money to a piece — and a turntable that gets more airplay than I'd like to admit.
More on what I do between commissions on the off-the-clock page.
